Throughout its glorious history, the Islamic nation has taken pride in its scholars and literati, who have played a significant role in spreading the light of knowledge and ethics. These intellectuals have had a prominent role in the development of sciences, the enhancement of literature, and the promotion of religious values, attracting students from various regions to benefit from their knowledge. Among these scientific and literary figures stands Al-Allamah Abdullah ibn Muhammad Al-Baytushi, an ascetic scholar and wise educator who lived in the 12th Hijri century and left valuable scholarly and literary works. This study, using a descriptive–analytical method, examines the educational and religious themes in Al-Baytushi’s poetry, such as the encouragement of virtues, warnings against vices, self-purification, companionship with people of virtue, reliance upon God, the preservation of dignity, and other moral and educational concepts. The study also investigates the methods and techniques the poet employed to convey these messages, such as drawing inspiration from Qur’anic verses, utilizing Prophetic hadiths, and employing similes, metaphors, and figurative expressions. The findings indicate that Al-Baytushi successfully combined profound content with effective literary expression, making his poetry a living example of educational and religious literature that unites artistic beauty with ethical messages.
