Tolerance in society is mostly about political, social, religious and cultural matters. In terms of nature, that is, based on awareness and authority, opposing ideas, methods and viewpoints are given the opportunity to express their existence, and the existence of a plurality and diversity of ideas and thoughts is acceptable. Literature is considered one of the most important platforms for the development and explanation of approaches based on tolerance. Some authors, depending on their cultural situation or philosophical approaches, have created notable works in this field. Muhammad Al-Adawi is an Egyptian physician and writer who, in the works he has published so far, is concerned with creating a kind of intercultural/interfaith dialogue in the Islamic world. In recent years, Al-Adawi has published on important issues in the Islamic world, especially issues related to Palestinian rights, common Persian and Arabic literary themes, historical points about Egypt, tolerance among different ethnicities and cultures, etc. Among his works, the novel Al-Raees (Avicenna) can be considered among the works that have a universal view of the historical past. In the present article, with a descriptive/analytical approach, various manifestations of tolerance and tolerance from a religious and national perspective have been considered. The results of the research show that the novel Al-Raees can be considered among the prominent works of the last decade, which, with an intercultural approach, attempts to bring countries of the Islamic world, including Iran and Egypt, and Shiites and Sunnis, closer.
