Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) is one of the modern approaches in linguistic studies that examines the relationship between language, ideology, and social structures. This approach seeks to demonstrate how texts, through linguistic choices, syntactic structures, and semantic patterns, construct and consolidate particular representations of reality. The present study aims to investigate the discursive structure of Sūrat al-Ḥajj based on the Critical Discourse Analysis model proposed by Hodge and Kress. Within this framework, the text of the sūrah is analyzed as a semiotic system in which the relationships among social actors, patterns of representation, and strategies for stabilizing ideological meanings are examined. The research method is descriptive-analytical, and the data are drawn from the verses of Sūrat al-Ḥajj. In the analytical process, attention is given to components such as the representation of social actors, semantic oppositions, emphatic structures, and strategies of naturalization. The findings indicate that the discursive system of the sūrah is organized around key semantic oppositions such as faith versus disbelief, guidance versus misguidance, and truth versus falsehood, and that these oppositions are reinforced through linguistic and rhetorical structures. Moreover, the representation of social actors in the verses is structured in a way that highlights divine absolute authority and the elevated status of believers, while positioning deniers within a critical and admonitory framework. Additionally, certain linguistic structures function to present doctrinal concepts and religious rituals as self-evident and firmly established truths.
