Islamic poetry is a type of religiously committed poetry that draws its inspiration and creativity from divine principles and the foundations of Islam. The committed poet reflects Islamic elements in his poems with the aim of elevating the religious and political vision and class consciousness of society. This type of poetry enjoys a prominent position in contemporary Arabic literature as a result of the emergence of Islamic revivalist movements and the interaction between the Islamic world and the West. Al-Husayn ibn Khalil, the Iraqi poet, is considered one of the most prominent committed poets. His poems are characterized by a committed approach, are dominated by Islamic culture, and clearly reflect developments in the Islamic world. This study, based on the importance and place of religion in al-Husayn ibn Khalil's poems and his emphasis on spreading the Islamic revival in Muslim society, seeks to analyze the manifestations of religious commitment in his poems using descriptive and analytical methods. The research findings indicate that al-Husayn ibn Khalil, through his emphasis on political Islam, does not separate religion from politics. By invoking influential religious figures in the political history of Islam, employing Islamic symbols and concepts, and focusing on the religious and political revolution of Karbala in his poems, he demonstrates his commitment to Islam and the Muslim community. By emphasizing the growth of the Islamic revival and the strengthening of unity within the Muslim world, he calls for limiting the influence of Western and foreign cultures on the Muslim world.
