Adonis examined Islamic mystical texts from an epistemological perspective of language, drawing upon modern philosophical and aesthetic foundations in an effort to reread them within a new analytical horizon. From this standpoint, language in mystical texts is characterized by specific structural and semantic features based on symbolization, deviation, breaking with the conventional, ecstatic utterances (shathiyat), metaphor, and the creative breach of linguistic norms, in addition to adopting automatic writing connected to the subconscious. This enables it to transcend the logic of rationality and standard linguistic rules, thereby imparting a distinct literary quality to the mystical text. This study adopts a descriptive-analytical methodology, aiming to analyze the structure and functions of language in mystical corpuses and to uncover the extent of their influence by surrealist principles, in light of the analytical approach presented by Adonis. The research findings indicate that mystical language—much like language in surrealist texts—breaks free from the constraints of standard language and focuses on the subconscious and mental associations, leading to the production of new meanings and innovative expressive structures. However, mystical language is uniquely distinguished by a specific cognitive and theological orientation that sets it apart from surrealist language in terms of purpose and function. The results of this research demonstrate that, in Adonis's view, mystical language does not merely perform an expressive function; rather, it is considered a structural element of the mystical experience itself. This is manifested in mystical corpuses through what can be termed the flow of ideas and meanings in the form of a linguistic flood
