From the point of view of cognitive semanticists, metaphor is not limited to language and vocabulary, but includes comprehensive understanding and takes the form of a conceptual metaphor; in which one conceptual domain is understood based on another conceptual domain. In conceptual metaphor, many concepts, especially abstract concepts, are organized through metaphorical adaptation of information and knowledge transfer, and a wide range of concepts are presented to the audience in new expressions. The concept of divine mercy is used as one of the abstract concepts in the book of Sahifah Sajjadiyeh in various metaphorical forms, which linguistic evaluation reveals its special literary beauty. This article deals with the ontological metaphors of the word mercy in Sajjadiyeh's book by using the descriptive-analytical approach in the light of Olaf Jackel's principles in cognitive linguistics. This theory creates good ways to examine texts and understand them better. In the evidences and clues obtained in this article, the word mercy has been conceptualized in different ways, in such a way that the Imam (peace be upon him) has made his intended concepts comprehensible by using different material, container and diagnostic areas. . Metaphors include the commodification of God's mercy, likening God's mercy to treasures and calamities that befall servants. Mercy also represents the vessel in which all elements interact. Keep this in mind, and based on Jackal's epistemological foundations, the analysis of the evidences reviewed in Sajjadiyeh's book agrees with Jackal's nine principles such as comprehensive metaphor, domain hypothesis, model hypothesis,.
